Advanced Skincare Treatments

Posted on March 11, 2016

One of the great things about working in the beauty industry is that it is constantly changing and evolving with new and exciting products, ingredients and equipment hitting the market almost weekly. Here at Bloom we like to keep up to date and so we will often adopt new products and equipment in order to offer our clients the very best service possible.

Many of you have already experienced a skin smoothing “micro” in the salon. It is one of our favourite treatments. Well in an effort to achieve even better results we have purchased a more powerful machine that has both the Diamond tipped head of the old machine and the benefits of a crystal abrasion for a much smoother feeling skin. Microdermabrasion is best done in a series of 2-3 treatments about 3 weeks apart to speed up the skin’s metabolism and stimulate better cell turnover resulting in healthier skin. Ask the team about multiple treatment deals to save you money of these brilliant treatments.

Dermal Needling

Basically, it is rolling or stamping very fine needles into the skin to form a series of “False Pores” all over your face, neck and décolletage. By doing this two things happen.

  1. We can infuse serums to stimulate new collagen production, strengthen and repair cells deep in the epidermis. Many of these serums are normally difficult to get down to where these specific new skin cells are situated and so needling creates temporary pathways for this to take place.
  2. The process creates a controlled trauma in the skin and so the skin naturally goes into a healing response. Part of that response is the formation of new collagen cells. So effectively we are stimulating new collagen and keeping our skin looking years younger.

Needling can be done every 6 weeks and is recognized as one of the most effective long term methods of maintaining a healthier, younger look with less lines, less discolouration and smoother, more evenly toned skin.

It sounds painful but the use of a numbing agent means that you will be comfortable throughout the treatment and there is very little down time post treatment.
